The happening episode in the Indian Parliament

A certain law and order needs to be maintained by the members of the Parliament as they are our representatives.

But recently what I saw was beyond my imagination and I’m sure all of us must have felt the same. I’m shocked that such a day can occur in Indian Political History. In fact I read online that one member himself termed it as a ‘Black Day.’

The bribery episode that happened in the Parliament on 22nd July is something that has not only surprised all of us but the Members of the Parliament also. And why shouldn’t they be surprised? After all what they have been doing under the table has come out in public. And that also live on Television.

What I feel was that the entire episode was planned. Imagine a bag carrying crores of rupees is taken inside the parliament and no one is there to check it? It’s just impossible that with so many guards at the entrance a bag is taken without getting noticed.

This can best be compared with IPL that happened few months back. The only difference was that, there the cricketers were being auctioned and here it is our dear MP's.

Just look at the change that’s happened over a period of time. I’ve heard of shoes, chappals, chairs been thrown on each other. But standing tall with a bundle of cash in your hand is quite interesting. And interesting for whom? Off course our broadcast media who had live coverage of the entire episode.

Why fingers are pointed out to the media? In the end they are just doing their job. And that’s what they did on that horrifying day. So let’s be ready to watch some more drama as the elections are not far….and media will cover it the way these politicians want them to.

Hey Tanvi. Kudos on starting your own blog. And all the best.

Couple of suggestion if i can call it.

1. Make sure not to waste any space that is on the page. Make the maximum use of the pages that you have.

2. In your blog you have used dark color as background as well as text, especially at the header or masthead. This means that your text won't standout in the background. Thats the whole point, ain't it. Make the reading as pleasant as u can. So u get repeated visitors. Thats the biggest challenge.

3. One important suggestion that i have for you is rather than writing long boring articles, try writing small snippets on a couple or more articles. I think that will make it more interesting . Make sure to comment on the most popular stories of the day.

4. Also make use of as simple language as you can, which i think you have taken care of to be honest.

I will keep on giving tips, suggestion and feedback as often as i can. All and the best and take care.

Hey if it was really planned it surely was to beat Ekta Kapoor's soap in twist, turns and TRPs...
Ha ha ha...

Yep. I totally agree with you. The media had to report the event as it happened. And if what happened was a complete drama, there is no point in shifting blame and saying that the media hyped the incident. And three cheers for all our Parliament members. I had no idea they had such hidden acting talents!!!

ofcourse it's a black and shameful day for indian politics. But not whole of the media was as hapless as a comman man. Why did CNN IBN not telecast the footage of the cash for vote sting, which it is supposed to have possession of? we cannot go on assuming that Media wasn't aware of such drama in politics.

Its a shame to see our countries representatives selling their opinion... We need new leaders and visionaries... I liked your comparison(IPL)...

Hey... Its really bad..rather than saying bad..its shameful that the people who r representing our country can kill their morals just to gain votes.

Funny, that I wrote about this too. It is pretty sad, the state of the parliament was unreal indeed. The comic aspect of it though was more thane evident... Good but, look at the brighter side, now we all know what the politicians of our country are up to.
